Recent loot (1st June 2018)

Haven't updated much lately on account of being extremely busy, which will continue for a bit.

Loot (29th April 2018)

Haven't been able to update the blog lately due to being busy.

Cleared Sen no Kiseki Kai and Digimon Cybersleuth. Not much to say about Sen since it's basically the same game again, but Digimon is surprisingly good despite being really backwards in a lot of ways.

Avengers was decent and Pacific Rim was better than I'd expected.

This week's loot (3rd December 2017)

Watched the first Full Metal Panic movie. The new cuts weren't much; Ultimately, nothing significant at all was added, changed, or remove. It's a viable alternative to watching the corresponding episodes of the original TV series, but only because it's basically exactly the same thing.

This week's loot (19th November 2017)

Watched Gochiusa, Godzilla: Kaijuu Wakusei, and Gundam Thunderbolt/Twilight Axis.

Gochiusa was Gochiusa and Thunderbolt was Thunderbolt.

Twilight Axis felt, for better or worse, like fanfiction. Not particularly bad fanfiction (though not particularly good either) but fanfiction nonetheless.

Godzilla was a good sci-fi film if not really a Godzilla film, but I've never been a huge fan of Godzilla films to begin with. The monsters are great but the films honestly tend to be pretty bad (I'd say the Heisei Gamera trilogy is better than at least 90% of Godzilla films). Kaijuu Wakusei felt oddly formulaic and conventional for something written by Urobuchi but was still a decent sci-fi film. Looking forward to the next one and I've already pre-ordered the 50 cm Godzilla 2018 vinyl.
