Today's loot (24th February 2012)

Already read Karuma #8, loved it. Really sad to see it go, and I'm really hoping for a miracle like what Tachibana mentions in the afterword. Really. Still haven't read the first volume of Date A Live yet, have to get round to doing so.

But anyway yeah. GRISAIA. I've stocked up on food too so I don't think I'll be leaving the house this weekend.

Wonder Festival 2012 (Winter)

I sort of misplaced the charger for my DSLR's battery only just as I was uploading the photos to this post I recalled where I left it and found it except I'd already ordered a new one from Amazon yesterday and the fuckers already shipped it bah.

But anyway yeah. DSLR's battery was dead and I didn't find the charger till today, so shitty iPhone photos.

This week's loot (21st February 2011)

The CDs actually arrived at the end of last week but eh.

Also, Idolmaster 2 and Disgaea 4 should be arriving this week. FUCK YES.

Read Cop Craft #3

Damn that left a bad aftertaste, what with Naias dying and the mastermind pretty much getting away scot free.

But yeah, this is good.

Just saying.

Anyway, my copy of Karuma #7 should be arriving soon, yay.

Edit: Oh wow, not more than five minutes after I wrote this did Karuma #7 arrive. Nice.

Edit:

Finished reading Karuma #7.
God, this series is awesome.

Between most of the Air-related stuff already settled, Shuugo showing up, and the author starting on a new series, though, it seems like it might be ending soon. I do hope not, I'd love to see it go on for much longer.

Ah well, hope Date A Live is good.

This week's loot (21st October 2010)

Oddly large number of posts today, huh?

Anyway, the second part of my latest Amazon order arrived.

Yay Karuma and Cop Craft. And yeah, those idiots shipped me Nyaruko-san #2 and #3 but not yet #1.

Forgot to stick Gemaga in the picture and I'll probably have more stuff by the end of the week, will update this post then.

Edit (October 22nd): Finished Karuma #6 last night. Man, this series gets weirder with each book (not that that's a bad thing).

Edit (October 22nd): More stuff arrived + tossed Gemaga in.

Soukyuu no Karuma 6

#6 on the twentieth of this month. Yay.

Among stuff that's ongoing (Seikai doesn't count because GOD DAMN HOW MANY MORE YEARS IS THE NEXT BOOK GOING TO TAKE), this and Haganai are all I'm really enjoying right now. Oreimo is alright too, but I just don't like it as much.

にしても表紙公開の時点で出オチってどうよ

Unrelated, but I've finally gotten round to building my MG Crossbone X-1 (building X-1 Kai). Should be done soon.

Also I've been mostly staying offline because Zero no Kiseki's out and I haven't cleared it yet. Or played it yet because I accidentally selected economy shipping instead of courier. Damn it.

By the way, Sakura Sakura is good and I'd forgotten how much I'd sucked at pre-4 Armored Core. Though it's possible that the lack of buttons (need more shoulder buttons) is contributing to my sucking at Silent Line.

This week's loot (30th June 2010)

Finally got round to getting Peace Walker, and I'd been meaning to get Tokimemo 4 for some time.

Soukyuu no Karuma's starting off with a deochi isn't anything surprising at this point but I still had to do a double-take the first time I saw #5's cover to be sure I wasn't looking at some totally unrelated series.

Edit (2nd July 2010): Read Karuma #5. Yeah, this series is awesome.

Soukyuu no Karuma

Been pretty busy lately, but found the time to finish Soukyuu no Karuma (#1-4).

It's good.

Just saying.

Also, pre-ordered #5.

This week's loot (5th June 2010)

Been meaning to get Soukyuu no Karuma for some time, ever since reading about it in Konorano 2010. The other stuff is recommendations from Amazon.

Alan Wake is the Asia version. Hey, it's cheaper.

Got the 360 version of Super IV due to Six and Striker. Using mostly Sakura and Gouki, and some Ryu and Ken. My last Street Fighter game was Zero 2 but I'm doing pretty well; My first battle in the game (without looking at the manual or using training mode or anything at all) was an online match using Ryu on Six (who was using Juri) and I actually won. I've yet to win a single ranked battle online, though.

Speaking of Japanese/US versions, with my Japanese 360, Alan Wake is in Japanese, entirely. Including the voices. I wouldn't mind, but they didn't bother to do edit the lip-synching for anything but English, apparently, and the lips not matching the speech really bothers me. So I need to change the language settings to get it to switch to English. Extremely annoying, that. Would it have killed them to stick a language option inside the game itself?

Anyway, cleared episode 1 of Alan Wake. Not very scary so far. Also the enemies are more of a nuisance than a threat, the gameplay isn't very good (I'm hoping it'll get better), and the camera gives me headaches (literally) when trying to navigate indoor areas.

I got it because I liked the sound of the setting (hey, I'm the sort of person who gets all of the X Files on DVD) but the first episode already has me worried that the ending might be a horrid cop-out (I'm guessing at this point that he killed his wife and went nuts, and rest of the game is a nightmare or something). Eh, I'll probably chip away at it slowly.
