This week's loot (1st May 2016)

Still playing Dark Souls 3 (near to the end of my second playthrough). I don't like some of the things 2 had that they removed, but on the whole I'm enjoying it more.

Civil War was good. It didn't do what I wanted it to- That is to say, commentary on overreaching surveillance + an actual civil war, but that was a given from the trailers and how the Marvel movie universe is way smaller in terms of cast than the comic universe. That being said, they clearly knew this when they made the film, and did a good job of making a personal conflict with something of an actual plot. With twists! On the whole it felt less like a Captain America movie and more like an Avengers one, only more focused and coherent. The action scenes were better than the usual clusterfucks, too. It didn't have much of a climax, and was more like a setup to more movies, but eh, it worked, and that's what counts. I liked it.

I don't even have any Myth Cloths but this display stage is awesome.

Char no Nichijou is unfortunately nowhere as good as I'd have liked it to be. I like the art, but I just can't seem to find it funny at all. The whole "character displaced into everyday life resulting in funny juxtaposition" thing is nice but has been done better countless times before. Eh.

This week's loot (14th December 2013)

My Sen no Kiseki tapestry arrived! I took it out, took a photo, then immediately rolled it back up and put it away with the rest of the tapestries in my collection. Yeeeaaaaah.

Anyway I'd been planning on getting Celceta for a pretty long time and finally did. Promotion on Falcom's mail order store got me the game, soundtrack, guide, and file for 4700 yen which I'd like to think is a decent deal.

And yeah Figma Kurisu. The more time passes the more I have to say I really think Steins;gate was a fucking miracle, because Chaos;head was absolute shit and Robotics;notes was the very fucking definition of mediocre, with the only vaguely cool moment in the entire fucking thing being blatantly stolen from the first Ghost in the Shell movie ("I was doing it for my wife and kid!" "YOU DON'T HAVE A WIFE AND KID YOU GOT HAXXING IN YOUR BRAINS" "GASP").

I've been chipping away at a new playthrough of OG II (I blame Dark Prison). My saves all died along with my old PS3 so I started from scratch but I'm aiming at getting all the SR points anyway. Man I'd forgotten how stupidly annoying some of this were TOUMA I'M LOOKING AT YOU YOU USELESS BUM.

And yeah got Arkham Origins. Not being able to use other skins until you clear the game once is stupid (dude you can play as Adam West) but the game's fun.

Watched the Steins;gate movie. It was pretty good.

Ichiban Kuji.Figures are Kurisu x2, Mayuri x2, Ruka x2, and Moeka. I want Okarin damn it (mostly so that I can stick his head on things). Also one Moeka here but the other two I got before were both her too so now I have three of her and I don't even like her all that much. Bah.

Loot (14th April 2013)

Drew the Steins;gate movie Ichiban Kuji five times. Two of the C prize that I didn't really want, two small figures that turned out to both be fucking Moeka, and the B prize which was the only thing that wasn't rubbish. Wonderful.

Did the Key Ichiban Kuji five times too. Figure was Nagisa, and I was actually pretty happy to get the clear file folder (I have a lot of clear files and my last folder/album was full).

The big Idolmaster "multi-cloth" thing was a crane game prize. I spent 15,000 yen, yes, fifteen fucking thousand yen trying to get it.

Seikai no Senki- Holy shit I'd totally fucking given up on it ever being completed and then suddenly this. Wow. Haven't read it yet.

Kare to Karetto- Actually a free webcomic on ASCII that I've been following for some time. I like it and got the tankoubon. It's good! Also in colour.

Hatsukoi- Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.

I have the clear version of the Banshee arriving next week. I decided not to get the Destroy mode Banshee, yet at least. I got it anyway because self control isn't one of my fortes. Got the Mark Sein because of UX, I'm totally getting the RG Destiny and displaying them together. Eventually. When I have space to display stuff.

Just ordered Destiny's wings off Premium Bandai.
