This week's loot (20th April 2011)
I headed over to Akiba intending to get a Robot Damashii Gawain (thank you, Suparobo Z2) but somehow ended up with a Lancelot Albion. True story.I already had Gineiden #2 but somehow managed to forget to bring it (only #2) with me here, so eh.
YES LAEVATEIN. Totally getting the XL-3 for it.

Super Robot Taisen Z 2: Hakai-hen, clear
Cleared the game last night, here's my party from after the final stage.
I actually used Lockon quite a bit throughout the game too but he isn't here because, you know, he's dead and all. Bah.
Enjoyed it, though not as much as the first Z. Too many loose ends. And I thought they said this was supposed to have some form of closure, instead we have a final boss who can be clearly seen escaping in his "death" animation (of course none of the characters notice) and a preview going "oh hey right after this BLACK REBELLION AND PTOLEMY BLOWS UP ALSO SOME OTHER SHIT".
Bah.
Gameplay-wise, the balance was just right this time. Not stupid HAR HAR YOU'RE OUT OF ENERGY AGAIN PLUS THE STUFF YOU MAXED STILL DIES IN TWO HITS like L, but still tough enough to make getting points somewhat difficult. Also had characters get shot down due to my forgetting to have them use seishin lots of times.
I like the new abilities. Renzokukoudou especially is a total game-changer.
Anyway, went with Celestial Being for all routes this playthrough, will do Geass next. But I think I'll resume playing Catherine and/or Valkyria 3 first.
