Shin Megami Tensei 4 (2)

Cleared my first playthrough of the game, was forced onto the law route (I tried going neutral but the game outright said I had taken too many law-sided choices).

Anyway my party right before the final battle:

Alice was way underlevelled but I used her for randamaiza and to reflect setsunasamidareuchi. Otherwise it was buffs/debuffs, some healing, and charge + mortal jihad. Nothing special. Like most of the game.

Kind of disappointed.

Ah well neutral next. If I don't fuck up and end up on chaos, that is.

昨夜真４をクリアしたけど微妙だった。ニュートラルに入れずロウを強制されたからかもしれないがかなり微妙だった。てか今月だけで期待して待っていたゲームが３本とも微妙だった。しかも連続に当たった。どうしてこうなった。

キャラは割と好きだぞ？あと最初は設定も好きだった。ファンタジー世界なのにいきなり太宰治の話が出てきたり、そして地下のダンジョンを攻略していったらなんか地下に東京があったり。でもゲームシステムがアレな上、ヤマト以降に脚本が……

あと２５時間でクリアしたけどなにそれふざけてんの。てかぶっちゃけヤマトは中盤だと思ってたのに終盤だったでござる。そして唐突すぎるラスボスの出現＆瞬殺→『あの』エンディング。打ち切り漫画かよ。

Shin Megami Tensei 4 (1)

Been chipping away at the game since clearing Grisaia, up to Shibuya.

Anyway some random shit from up till now.
 

Wow where the fuck did they get this design from? That fucking face belongs more in an X-Men comic or something more than Megaten..

FUCK YEAH DEMONICA SUIT.

(Google street view of Ikebukuro for reference, duh) I especially like how they bothered to make areas resemble their real-world counterparts. Shinjuku station's west exist is really cramped up but Bic Camera's identifiable, Shibuya has Hachi-kou, etc.

Grisaia no Rakuen, clear

It was pretty good but to be honest I enjoyed Kajitsu and Meikyuu more.

The last bits of Blanc Aile especially were pretty bad. Yuuji suddenly becoming a superhuman killing machine, bad guys showing up and instantly dying ("HI THERE I'M YOU'RE EVIL CLONE LET'S HAVE A KNIFE FIGHT" "OKAY" "BLEURGH I DIE"), the silly bomb bracelet (if he dies everything within 1500 meters go off, and he's on their ship, and they try their best to kill him, what?) and such. But at least it had a satisfying ending, which is something I can't say for another game I'd been really looking forward to that was recently released.

Blanc Aile After was way too short. Prologue was good but also too short. I actually kept track of how long it took me to clear the game this time (well, rather I cleared each scenario in one sitting and just looked at my timestamped logs on IRC to gauge how long I took) and the results were

Blanc Aile: 13 hours
Blanc Aile After: 2 hours
Prologue: 4 hours

So yeah, pretty short.

I now feel like going through Kajitsu yet again though.

Cleared Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse

So yeah, cleared Total Eclipse.

About 28 hours altogether (stuff from the books/show ended at 18 hours).

What the FUCK was that?

It was clearly pretty flawed and incomplete but I didn't mind that but damn the whole last bit was kind of ugh. There just wasn't any closure for anyone but Kriska.
