Played a bit of L.A. Noire, just cleared the case that started off as a hit-and-run. I have to say, though, I'm not all that impressed. The open world stuff is largely redundant, from what I've seen so far the cases are way too simple (way too much blood and a receipt for a pig from a slaughterhouse, gee I wonder if this guy's really dead? Guy had life insurance, was arguing with his wife and had obvious stab wounds despite having been run over by a car, I wonder how he really died?), and maybe it's because I just cleared Gyakuten Kenji 2 but talking to suspects and inspecting evidence just feels kind of clumsy. The story has also yet to draw me in. I'll save judgement for after playing it a bit more, but so far I just really don't see what all the hype is about.
You'd think I'd know better than to trust reviews after shit like Alan Wake and Lost Planet 2, but eh. Ah well, hopefully it gets better later.
But anyway, yeah, Gyakuten Kenji 2 was awesome.
Oh, and this also applies to Arkham Asylum and Front Mission Evolved, but is it so fucking hard to let people save whenever they want? Fuck your stupid auto-save shit, assholes. Fuck it and fuck you too.
